#1: Lady Gaga - Abracadabra (+1) [10 weeks] {1 week at #1}

Our first debut comes from Ariana Grande called twilight zone. I actually really enjoy this one. It reminds me a lot of we can't be friends (wait for your love), and I think that song may have been built off of this one. The production here is really nice, and I like Ariana's voice here. I hope this does well.

Next up we have Miley Cyrus's return in End of the World. This song is so forgettable. The production is pretty alright, and Miley sounds great, but I literally couldn't remember what this song sounded like after my first listen. I don't think I'll be coming back to this one.

Ed Sheeran finally made another upbeat song, this time called Azizam. I don't like this as much as I should. Ed sounds good, and I like the production as well. I just think this one is a bit bland. This has been stuck in my head all week though, so it may end up growing on me.

Finally, WILDFLOWER is back. Now that this is actually doing well on radio, it makes sense it's back. This song is so beautiful, and truly deserves to go #1.

Biggest Jump: Tie between Chappell Roan - The Giver [#23 to #13] and Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman [#19 to #9]
Biggest Drop: Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem [#8 to #16]
Last Year's Number One: Sabrina Carpenter - Feather (3/4 weeks at #1)
Favorite Song Last Year: Olivia Rodrigo - obsessed
Least Favorite Song Last Year: Dua Lipa - Houdini
Recommendation for Hits 1: ROLE MODEL - Writing's On The Wall

5 Oldest Songs:
1. Gigi Perez - Sailor Song [23 weeks]
2. Shaboozey - Good News [21 weeks]
3. Kendrick Lamar/SZA - luther [19 weeks]
4. Gracie Abrams - I Love You, I'm Sorry [18 weeks]
5. Teddy Swims - Bad Dreams [17 weeks]

Hit-Bound
Thomas Day - Sleep When We're Dead (3)
Shaboozey/Myles Smith - Blink Twice (Debut)
Ravyn Lenae - Love Me Not (4)
The Summer Set - ADIDAS (Debut)
BigXthaPlug/Bailey Zimmerman - All The Way (Debut)
Crash Adams - Karaoke (2)
Kesha/T-Pain - YIPPEE-KI-YAY. (3)
Jack Harlow/Doja Cat - Just Us (4)
Emei - Crazy Stupid Love (7)
sombr - undressed (4)
Michael Clifford - cool (2)
Dove Cameron - Too Much (8)
Jonah Marais - Better Place (3)
Knox - Going, Going, Gone (2)
Hayes Warner - Threw Me Away (2)
Max McNown - A Lot More Free (2) (Re-entry)

Two of the artists that dominated last summer, Shaboozey and Myles Smith, bring their new song Blink Twice to Hit-Bound today. This song is super fun. I love both of their voices here, and the production is so fun. I hope this smashes, as we desperately need more summer music for this year.

The Summer Set makes their return to Hits 1 after 9 years with ADIDAS. Once again, this is a very fun song. I like the lead singer's voice here, and the production is very fun. I think this will probably drop out, but I hope it has a good run here.

BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman together was not a duo I thought would ever happen, but with the success All The Way is getting, I think it works. I really love the country-trap production here, and both BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman sound good. This is getting a pop push, so I expect to see it on the countdown very soon.

Of course we had to ruin our great set of debuts with A Lot More Free re-entering. Yeah, this is awful. It's just so boring, and I can barely listen to it without falling asleep.

Dropouts:
Jon Bellion - WASH (3)
Henry Moodie - indigo (2)

I didn't care about either of these, but I'm glad Henry Moodie didn't last 20 weeks in Hit-Bound this time. Weird sidenote, but according to Zestpond, pick up the phone performed better than We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Savage Love, and vampire which is nearly impossible for me to believe.

Abyss
almost monday - can't slow down (1)
Avery Anna - Mr. Predictable (4)
Charli xcx - party 4 u (1)
Doechii - DENIAL IS A RIVER (3)
Drake - NOKIA (1)
Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender (3)
Myles Smith - Nice To Meet You (1)
Pitbull/Bon Jovi - Now or Never (7)
RAYE - Oscar Winning Tears. (3)
ROLE MODEL - Sally, When The Wine Runs Out (3)
Ryann - Dirty (3)
SZA/Kendrick Lamar - 30 For 30 (2)
Tyla - PUSH 2 START (7)
The Marías - No One Noticed (12)

This week I'm going to review the abyss, as I don't think I've shared my opinion on most of these songs. Also, thanks to Zestpond for the week numbering!

can't slow down enters the Abyss after exiting Hit-Bound, and I'm happy that it's in the abyss, as it really deserves to be a big hit this summer. It has the perfect vibes for the summer, and the lead vocalist sounds really good. I think it may fade away on radio in the next month or two, so I hope they push jupiter next.

Mr. Predictable may be Avery Anna's best song yet, and it really reminds me of Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish. The production on here is really great, and I love the evolution. Avery Anna also sounds way better than on some other songs like Narcissist. I wish this was doing something on the other charts, as it just feels weird to see this on only Hits 1.

I think the only reason party 4 u is in the Abyss is because it went viral, but I thought that was like a month ago. Charli sounds great here, but the whole song is really repetitive and gets annoying after about a minute. It's actually getting enough spins where it may debut the countdown next week, which is kind of crazy in my opinion.

DENIAL IS A RIVER got robbed on the Countdown, but at least it's in the Abyss. I really love the vibes of this song, and the lyrics are hilarious. I love Doechii's rapping, and the production is great too. I really hope this gets a second chance.

NOKIA has been exploding over the past few weeks, and Hits 1 finally picked up on it right as Kendrick killed it. Better late than never I guess, as I really like this one. The production is so fun, and Drake actually sounds really good on this one. I hope this debuts, as it sounds exactly like a summer pop hit.

Neverender has grown on me a lot over the past few weeks. I really like Justice's production, and I love Tame Impala's voice here. I hope this does well here, as it's been doing well on the Mediabase charts for a little while.

Nice To Meet You is back for whatever reason, and I'm not actually too mad about this. I love the production here, and Myles Smith sounds good. I actually like this song a lot more than I think other people do, and I wouldn't mind if it re-entered the Countdown. My only question is why didn't Hits 1 prioritize Blink Twice over this?

Pitbull remixed the classic Bon Jovi song It's My Life, and the result is not the greatest. This entire song feels really choppy, and while I do like Pitbull and Bon Jovi here, the production is just awful here. It kind of reminds me of the awful yes, and remix with Mariah Carey, where two incredible artists were put onto one song, but the producers made it sound like it was made by a ten year old.

Oscar Winning Tears. is back in the Abyss for some reason, even though it was purged on Mediabase around a month ago. I don't mind, as I really like this song. RAYE sounds amazing here, and I really like the production here. I think this may be a recurrent, but if it isn't, I hope it returns.

ROLE MODEL finally returned to the Weekend Countdown with Sally, When The Wine Runs Out, then exited after three weeks. I really like this one. ROLE MODEL sounds really good here, and I really love the production. I hope this goes for adds, as it would be perfect for summer.

Ryann, who I'm pretty sure literally nobody knew existed before this year, is in the abyss with her song Dirty. However, this is a fun little song. Ryann sounds good, and the production is pretty fun. I like it, but I think I'll forget about what it sounds like within a week.

SZA and Kendrick Lamar team up again with 30 For 30, and I really like it. As always, I love SZA and Kendrick's chemistry, who both sound amazing. I also really love the production here. I can see this debuting soon, and I really hope it does.

Tyla is still in the Abyss with PUSH 2 START, and I have no idea why this isn't on the Countdown. It's such a fun song with great production, and Tyla also sounds great on here. I get this song's hype may have come and gone, but can you give it another chance Hits 1?

Rounding out our Abyss songs is The Marias with No One Noticed. I really like this one. The Marias sound great here, and I really love the production here. I especially love the bridge too. This is in the top 20 on Mediabase, so I really hope this debuts soon.

Notes:
- This week we lost Born Again, Burning Down, That's So True, and Pink Pony Club. Born Again was robbed, as it literally just started to take off. Burning Down lasted for way too long, and the remix kind of ruined the song for me. That's So True and Pink Pony Club had great runs, but were removed fairly quickly. I especially think Pink Pony Club should've lasted longer, as it literally just hit #1 on the radio.
- Why are like JENNIE and Not At This Party stuck in the bottom five?
- Why is luther flopping again?
- Love in Real Life and Still Bad changed spots, which makes it look like Love in Real Life is done.
- We're finally seeing some movement in the bottom half!
- Nice to see The Giver finally doing well! Same to Anxiety.
- Why did Garden Of Eden fall just to rebound?
- Nice to see Busy Woman and Call Me When You Break Up starting to do well.
- Looks like I Love You, I'm Sorry is done at #1. It never really deserved to go #1, but I was still happy about it.
- Why is toxic till the end starting to do well just as it ends on Mediabase?
- Abracadabra finally made it to #1, which it definitely deserves. It's a bit late, but I'm glad it at least happened.

Well, that's it! Make sure to check out March Madness, and I'll see you in the next post!
