AI WEEKEND COUNTDOWN!!! 3/16/24

Gosh I love AI... (I didn't wanna write this week's lmao)

Exits:

  • Doja Cat - Agora Hills (#9): A bit of a surprise exit from the Top 10 for Doja Cat. "Agora Hills" might not have had the same staying power as some of her other hits.
  • Jessie Murph/Jelly Roll - Wild Ones (#25): This country collab didn't quite catch fire on the pop charts.
  • Victoria Monet - On My Mama (#23): Another song that fell out of the countdown after a few weeks.

High Notes:

  • Dua Lipa Reigns Supreme: "Houdini" remains unbeatable for another week, extending its lead at #1 to a whopping 7 weeks!
  • Debuts Galore: This week boasted a healthy dose of new music with tracks from Twenty One Pilots, Ariana Grande, Djo, and more making their first appearances.
  • Jungkook Soars: The BTS member's "Standing Next To You" jumps an impressive 8 spots, landing at #16. This could be a future contender for the top spot.
  • Benson Boone Takes Flight: "Beautiful Things" climbs 5 positions to #7, making Benson Boone an artist to watch.

Song Reviews:

  • #30: Twenty One Pilots - Overcompensate (Debut): It's tough to judge Twenty One Pilots without their signature style fully formed. This debut might be a raw gem for fans, but for newcomers, it could leave you wanting more.

#29: Ariana Grande - we can't be friends (wait for your love) (Debut): Is this a new breakup anthem or the start of a complicated situation-ship? Grande's vocals are on point, but the song needs more development to truly hit home.

#28: Djo - End of Beginning (Debut): Keep an eye on Djo! Debuts are all about potential, and "End of Beginning" hints at something fresh and exciting in the world of alternative music.

#27: Madison Beer - Make You Mine (+2): A catchy climb for Madison Beer. This song is pure pop fun, perfect for blasting on a summer drive.

#26: Usher - Kissing Strangers (+4): Usher's back with a slow-burning R&B track. "Kissing Strangers" might not be groundbreaking, but it's a solid addition to his repertoire.

#25: girl in red - Too Much (+3): This one's for the heartbreak crew. Girl in red delivers raw emotions with "Too Much," making it a relatable anthem.

#24: SZA - Saturn (+3): SZA never disappoints. "Saturn" is another dreamy, atmospheric track that showcases her unique vocals and songwriting skills.

#23: Selena Gomez - Love On (-1): A slight dip for Selena Gomez. "Love On" might be a bit generic compared to some of her other hits.

#22: Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (-2): Queen Bey takes a gamble with this track, but it doesn't quite pay off. "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" might not be her strongest effort.

#21: Tate McRae - greedy (-3): Tate McRae continues to rise, but "greedy" feels a bit repetitive. It's catchy, but doesn't offer much new.

#20: Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me (-4): Jack Harlow takes a tumble. "Lovin On Me" might not resonate with everyone, especially with its more braggadocious lyrics.

#19: Teddy Swims - Lose Control (+2): Rising star Teddy Swims heats things up with "Lose Control." This soulful track is a great showcase for his powerful vocals.

#18: Tyla - Water (-3): "Water" doesn't make a big splash. While Tyla is a talented artist, this song feels forgettable.

#17: Knox - Me, Myself & Your Eyes (=): A solid effort from Knox. "Me, Myself & Your Eyes" is a pleasant listen, but it might not leave a lasting impression.

#16: Jungkook - Standing Next To You (+8): Jungkook makes a big leap! This heartfelt ballad showcases his impressive vocal range and could be a hit with BTS fans and beyond.

Extra: Luke Hemmings - Shakes: This is a bonus track, but it sounds promising. Luke Hemmings might be ready to step out from the shadow of 5 Seconds of Summer.

#15: Henry Moodie - pick up the phone (+4): A catchy plea for connection. Henry Moodie's "pick up the phone" is relatable and gets you tapping your foot.

#14: Dua Lipa - Training Season (+12): Dua Lipa soars to new heights! "Training Season" is a powerful anthem about self-improvement and could be a future chart-topper.

#13: Justin Timberlake - Selfish (+1): A smooth return for Justin Timberlake. "Selfish" is a classic JT slow jam that will please his longtime fans.

#12: Noah Kahan - Stick Season (-2): A slight stumble for Noah Kahan. "Stick Season" might be a bit mellow compared to some of his other, more upbeat tracks.

#11: Renee Rapp/Megan Thee Stallion - Not My Fault (+2): This fiery collab is a winner. Renee Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion trade verses with confidence, making "Not My Fault" an empowering anthem.

#10: AJR - Yes, I'm A Mess (-2): AJR continues to be a party on repeat. "Yes, I'm A Mess" is another quirky, fun track that will get stuck in your head.

  • #9: Ariana Grande/Mariah Carey - yes, and? (+2): A powerhouse vocal collaboration that's both fun and empowering.

  • #8: Olivia Rodrigo - get him back! (-1)

This song by Olivia Rodrigo captures the messy feelings of a post-breakup.

    • Catchy with Mixed Emotions: The song starts with a strong beat and playful intro, hinting at a fun, revenge-fueled anthem. But the lyrics reveal a character conflicted between wanting to get back together and wanting to make their ex jealous. This creates a relatable tension for listeners who've been there.
    • Internal Struggle: The verses paint a picture of a charming but problematic ex. We hear about wild parties, questionable behavior, and ultimately, the reason for the break-up. The chorus flips between wanting revenge and missing the good times.
    • Undecided Heart: The bridge reflects the internal struggle further. The character considers destructive actions ("I wanna key his car") but then backs down, Longing for the good times ("I miss the way he kisses") battles with the disappointment of their friends who knew the ex wasn't good ("I picture all the faces of my disappointed friends").

Overall: "get him back!" is a catchy song with relatable themes of heartbreak and mixed emotions. The character's indecisiveness might resonate with listeners who are struggling to move on.

  • #7: Benson Boone - Beautiful Things (+5): A catchy and uplifting song with a positive message. No wonder it's climbing the charts.
  • #6: Kenya Grace - Strangers (=)

Unfortunately, without listening to the song, I can't provide a full review. However, I can offer some general thoughts based on the title "Strangers."

    • Potential Themes: This title suggests a song about a relationship that has faded or ended. The former lovers might feel distant and disconnected, like strangers, despite a past connection.
    • Emotional Depth: "Strangers" could be a melancholic ballad exploring themes of loss, longing, or acceptance.
  • #5: Knox - Not The 1975 (=): Knox holds strong in the Top 5.
  • #4: Taylor Swift - Is It Over Now? (-1): A surprise entry from Taylor Swift's vault lands in the Top 5.
  • #3: Tate McRae - exes (+1): Up a spot this week, this relatable breakup anthem is clearly resonating with listeners.
  • #2: Sabrina Carpenter - Feather (=): A solid pop song that holds its own at #2.
  • #1 Dua Lipa - Houdini (=) (7 Weeks at #1): Can anyone dethrone Dua Lipa? Only time will tell, but "Houdini" continues to be a juggernaut.

Overall:

This week's Weekend Countdown was a good mix of established hits and exciting new music. The show continues to be a great way to discover the latest pop trends and hear from your favorite artists. Let's see if Dua Lipa's reign can continue next week!

The Tortured Poets Department: All Songs CONCEPT

If you're like me and you can't wait for The Tortured Poets Department, I AI generated all the song's lyrics so we can speculate what they may be like!

BASE TRACKS:

Fortnight (feat. Post Malone):

(Verse 1 - Taylor Swift) Calendar flipped, a new chapter starts Two weeks ahead, mending broken hearts Maybe a trip, a change of scene Escape the noise, a world unseen

(Pre-Chorus - Both) Fourteen days, a chance to unwind Leave the worries and cares behind Reconnect with dreams we tucked away A fortnight's freedom, come what may

(Chorus - Post Malone) Yeah, this fortnight's ours, let's make it gold Chasing sunsets, stories yet untold Sipping slow nights, beneath the stars Two weeks of magic, healing scars

(Verse 2 - Post Malone) City lights fade, the highway calls Dusty road anthems, break down the walls Find a rhythm, a simpler beat Disconnect to truly connect, can't be beat

(Pre-Chorus - Both) Fourteen days, a chance to unwind Leave the worries and cares behind Reconnect with dreams we tucked away A fortnight's freedom, come what may

(Chorus - Taylor Swift) Yeah, this fortnight's ours, let's make it gold Chasing sunsets, stories yet untold Sipping slow nights, beneath the stars Two weeks of magic, healing scars

(Bridge - Both) Fourteen sunrises, a chance to breathe Fourteen moonlit nights, for the soul to believe In a brighter tomorrow, a brand new start This fortnight's a canvas, paint a work of art

(Chorus - Both) Yeah, this fortnight's ours, let's make it gold Chasing sunsets, stories yet untold Sipping slow nights, beneath the stars Two weeks of magic, healing scars

(Outro - Taylor Swift & Post Malone) Fourteen days, a fleeting frame But the memories we make, will forever remain In this fortnight, we found our way A taste of freedom, lighting up the day

The Tortured Poets Department:

(Verse 1) Dusty notebooks filled with shattered dreams Ink-stained fingers and whispered, silent screams We gather here, a brokenhearted clan The Tortured Poets Department, where nobody understands

(Pre-Chorus) Exes like villains in our tragic tales Our hearts, the battlefields, etched with love's sharp nails We bleed our sonnets, sonnets stained with tears Yearning for redemption, chasing ghosts for years

(Chorus) But maybe this heartache, this exquisite pain Is the fuel that ignites, sets our verses aflame We'll weave tapestries, silken threads of plight Turning scars into stanzas, burning darkness into light

(Verse 2) Coffee cups like trophies, holding the cold remains Of midnight inspiration, whispered through the window panes We chase metaphors, wrestle with rhyme Desperate to capture the feeling, to define this passing time

(Pre-Chorus) The world sees us brooding, lost in yesterday's rain But beneath the surface, a fire burns, a hurricane We are the architects of our own bittersweet symphony A chorus of heartbreak, a beautiful cacophony

(Chorus) And maybe this heartache, this exquisite pain Is the fuel that ignites, sets our verses aflame We'll weave tapestries, silken threads of plight Turning scars into stanzas, burning darkness into light

(Bridge) So let them call us tortured, let them call us sad We wear our vulnerability like a crown, not a fad For in our wounds, we find the words to set us free This department of heartache is where our artistry will be

(Chorus) Because maybe this heartache, this exquisite pain Is the fuel that ignites, sets our verses aflame We'll weave tapestries, silken threads of plight Turning scars into stanzas, burning darkness into light

(Outro) The Tortured Poets Department, a haven for the lost Where broken hearts find solace, at what terrible cost? But with every tear that falls, a poem takes its flight We are the architects of our own beautiful, devastating light

My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys:

(Verse 1) Crimson lipstick on a porcelain cup Empty promises, I'd fill them all up Like a child's tea party, spilled on the floor Our fairytale mess, behind a closed door

(Pre-Chorus) You said forever, a gilded cage love Blinded by diamonds, ignoring the shove A slow erosion, a subtle decay But I was the sunshine, chasing the rain away

(Chorus) My boy only breaks his favorite toys And I was your sunshine, your brightest of joys But sunshine burns out, and hearts turn to rust Now I'm picking up pieces, love turned to dust

(Verse 2) We built castles in the sky, with clouds made of dreams Ignorance whispered, a love like this gleams But castles crumble, and clouds turn to rain Leaving behind heartache, a bittersweet stain

(Pre-Chorus) You swore you were different, a love built to last But forever is fleeting, a promise surpassed A love that consumes, a fire too bright Leaving me scorched in the ashes of night

(Chorus) My boy only breaks his favorite toys And I was your sunshine, your brightest of joys But sunshine burns out, and hearts turn to rust Now I'm picking up pieces, love turned to dust

(Bridge) Maybe I was naive, a moth to the flame But I loved with all I had, whispered your name Now the flame's extinguished, the smoke fills the air A love once so vibrant, a memory I can't bear

(Chorus) My boy only breaks his favorite toys And I was your sunshine, your brightest of joys But sunshine burns out, and hearts turn to rust Now I'm picking up pieces, love turned to dust

(Outro) My boy only breaks his favorite toys But I won't be broken, this girl finds her voice So goodbye sunshine, hello to the moon I'll rise from the ashes, and bloom way too soon

Down Bad:

(Verse 1) Red lipstick on a Tuesday night, mascara tracks like trails of tears Same barstool, hoping you might see me here Sipping coffee black, like the state of my heart Wishing you weren't just a figment of a work of art

(Pre-Chorus) They say I should move on, find someone new But these cowboy boots are stuck on only you Maybe it's not for the best, this masochistic trend But honey, I'm down bad for you, my so-called friend

(Chorus) Down bad, down bad, like a gambler on a losing streak Down bad, down bad, for a love incomplete I keep callin' your name, even though it goes unanswered Down bad, down bad, so hopelessly captured

(Verse 2) Remember that December, fairy lights and mistletoe? Whispered promises, a love that felt like it would always flow Now the only thing that lingers is the scent of your cologne A cruel reminder that I'm all alone

(Pre-Chorus) Friends tell me to forget you, write you a goodbye song But the melody that plays in my head just feels all wrong Maybe it's pride I'm swallowing, with every shot of whiskey neat But baby, I'm down bad for you, oh so bittersweet

(Chorus) Down bad, down bad, like a gambler on a losing streak Down bad, down bad, for a love incomplete I keep callin' your name, even though it goes unanswered Down bad, down bad, so hopelessly captured

(Bridge) Is this what they call rock bottom? Crawling on my hands and knees Begging for affection, a love that can't appease Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow, with a newfound sense of pride But for now, I'm down bad, nowhere left to hide

(Chorus) Down bad, down bad, like a gambler on a losing streak Down bad, down bad, for a love incomplete I keep callin' your name, even though it goes unanswered Down bad, down bad, so hopelessly captured

(Outro) Down bad, down bad, but maybe someday I'll break free Down bad, down bad, but there's gotta be a part of me That can rise above this heartache, and learn to love again But for now, I'm down bad, my love, until the very end

So Long, London:

(Verse 1) Double-decker bus on a grey morning light Kensington rain, blurring out the last goodnight We built our love story beneath a Union Jack sky Now boarded windows where your flat used to lie

(Chorus) So long, London, city of fog and dreams Where cobblestone streets whispered our secret schemes But fairy tales fade, and love can't stay the same This goodbye echoes like Big Ben chiming your name

(Verse 2) Camden Market stalls, where we held hands so tight Now just a melody of heartbreak in the London night Remember tea at Fortnum & Mason, laughter in the smoke? Now just ghosts of memories, a love that sadly broke

(Chorus) So long, London, city of fog and dreams Where cobblestone streets whispered our secret schemes But fairy tales fade, and love can't stay the same This goodbye echoes like Big Ben chiming your name

(Bridge) Maybe someday I'll return, a tourist in your rain But the memories will stay, a bittersweet refrain London boy, oh London boy, how could it all go wrong? This love song turned heartbreak, in a city built on song

(Chorus) So long, London, city of fog and dreams Where cobblestone streets whispered our secret schemes But fairy tales fade, and love can't stay the same This goodbye echoes like Big Ben chiming your name

(Outro) Big Ben chimes, a final goodbye So long, London, beneath your tearful sky

But Daddy I Love Him:

(Verse 1) Crimson lipstick, vintage dress, tiptoeing down the creaky stairs Leaving whispers in the air, sneaking out to meet him there Daddy warned me 'bout his kind, trouble written on his sleeve But with a heart that's wild and blind, how can a girl like me believe?

(Pre-Chorus) Headlights pierce the velvet night, his motorcycle's rumbling roar A thrill that twists my insides tight, a feeling I can't ignore

(Chorus) But Daddy, I love him, with a love that's fierce and true His whispered promises, a future painted blue You see the storm clouds gathering near, but all I see is sunshine bright Daddy, please try to understand, this love's a burning star tonight

(Verse 2) He's got a rebel's heart of gold, a laugh that chases all my blues away Daddy says his love won't hold, a fleeting flame that won't last the day But with every touch, every glance, a fire ignites within my soul Maybe love's a risky chance, but for this feeling I'll lose control

(Pre-Chorus) Heartache whispers, danger calls, a tightrope walk with nowhere to fall But his hand's the only one that steadies me, through the chaos of it all

(Chorus) But Daddy, I love him, with a love that's fierce and true His whispered promises, a future painted blue You see the storm clouds gathering near, but all I see is sunshine bright Daddy, please try to understand, this love's a burning star tonight

(Bridge) Maybe someday you'll see it too, the spark that lights my world on fire Maybe love's not always meant to be, but for this moment, my heart's his choir

(Chorus) But Daddy, I love him, with a love that's fierce and true His whispered promises, a future painted blue You see the storm clouds gathering near, but all I see is sunshine bright Daddy, please try to understand, this love's a burning star tonight

(Outro) Burning star tonight, burning star tonight This love's a burning star tonight, for him, for him, for him

Fresh Out The Slammer:

(Verse 1) Jailhouse bars cast shadows long, a symphony of clanging doors Three hots and a cot, wasn't wrong, but freedom whispers evermore Wrote a novel on the wall, etched in secrets, chipped away Every heartbreak, every fall, stories for a brighter day

(Pre-Chorus) Crossed the line, they said I shouldn't, dared to fight with fire in my soul But the cage can't hold a heart so haunted, gotta break the mold

(Chorus) Fresh out the slammer, lipstick on my kiss Got defiance in my laughter, a fire in my fist They tried to lock me down, make me disappear But I rose above the shadows, with nothing left to fear

(Verse 2) Flashing lights and judgment stares, whispers follow down the street But the scars I wear are battle wares, proof my spirit can't be beat The world's a stage, they play their parts, but I won't be their prisoner Got revenge tattooed on my heart, a melody for the underdog

(Bridge) This ain't goodbye, it's a hello, to the new me, bold and bright Gonna rewrite every story, with my own ferocious light

(Chorus) Fresh out the slammer, lipstick on my kiss Got defiance in my laughter, a fire in my fist They tried to lock me down, make me disappear But I rose above the shadows, with nothing left to fear

(Outro) Fresh out the slammer, yeah, I'm free at last Gonna leave the past behind, a lesson from the past

Florida!!! (feat. Florence + the Machine):

(Verse 1 - Taylor Swift) Palm trees swaying, neon signs ablaze Ocean air erasing cloudy, tear-filled days Sunshine on my skin, a temporary truce With the shadows of heartbreak, a bittersweet perfume

(Pre-Chorus - Taylor Swift) Escaped the city, concrete jungle's hold Needed open skies, a story yet untold Florida whispers secrets in the ocean breeze Maybe down here, I can finally find some peace

(Chorus - Taylor Swift & Florence Welch) Florida!!!, wash away the doubt and fear Let the crashing waves carry them far from here Florida!!!, where hearts can mend and dreams ignite Underneath the sun, bathed in golden light

(Verse 2 - Florence Welch) Spanish moss drapes a story, tangled in the air Whispers of forgotten lovers, echoes of despair But listen closer, there's a rhythm in the rain A chance to rewrite the ending, wash away the pain

(Pre-Chorus - Florence Welch) Cast off the winter coat, the heavy weight we wear Let the sunshine kiss our scars, a chance to breathe and dare Florida whispers courage in the seagull's cry Maybe down here, we'll learn to love and fly

(Chorus - Taylor Swift & Florence Welch) Florida!!!, wash away the doubt and fear Let the crashing waves carry them far from here Florida!!!, where hearts can mend and dreams ignite Underneath the sun, bathed in golden light

(Bridge - Taylor Swift & Florence Welch) Maybe it's the magic of this endless summer night Or the way the stars ignite, filling up the sky so bright Florida holds a promise, a whispered symphony That whispers, "You are free, darling, you are finally free"

(Chorus - Taylor Swift & Florence Welch) Florida!!!, wash away the doubt and fear Let the crashing waves carry them far from here Florida!!!, where hearts can mend and dreams ignite Underneath the sun, bathed in golden light

(Outro - Taylor Swift) Florida nights, a symphony of light Healing in the sunshine, everything feels right

Guilty as Sin?:

(Verse 1) Dim lights, red wine, lipstick on a napkin white Whispered promises, a secret we ignite The air is thick with tension, a melody of sighs But forever feels like fiction in your ocean-colored eyes

(Pre-Chorus) We're crossing every line, a slow and sweet decline Intoxicated by this moment, a forbidden design Ignoring reason's warning, the clock strikes half past two Is this love or just a feeling, baby, only you can construe

(Chorus) Guilty as sin, tangled in these sheets again The taste of temptation, a forbidden serenade We built this castle on sand, a love we can't defend But oh, the devil's in the details, darling, 'til the very end

(Verse 2) Your touch, a brand new language, every whisper sets me free But guilt hangs heavy in the silence, a constant undertow for me We steal these stolen moments, a fire burning out of control But the ashes of this passion will eventually take their toll

(Pre-Chorus) We're playing with fire, a dangerous desire A reckless game of hearts, a love set to expire Ignoring the consequences, the price we'll have to pay Is this love or just a feeling, baby, there's no other way

(Chorus) Guilty as sin, tangled in these sheets again The taste of temptation, a forbidden serenade We built this castle on sand, a love we can't defend But oh, the devil's in the details, darling, 'til the very end

(Bridge) Maybe this is love's dark side, a twisted kind of bliss A symphony of secrets sealed with a stolen kiss But the truth will find a way out, a melody exposed Leaving only heartache, a love that love has opposed

(Chorus) Guilty as sin, tangled in these sheets again The taste of temptation, a forbidden serenade We built this castle on sand, a love we can't defend But oh, the devil's in the details, darling, 'til the very end

(Outro) Guilty as sin, oh, guilty as sin In this forbidden hymn, we'll forever swim Guilty as sin

Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me?:

(Verse 1) Flickering candlelight, on the page my secrets bleed Ink-stained fingers trace the scars, of a love I couldn't keep They said I was too naive, a firecracker in the rain But underestimating me, is where the monsters learn your name

(Chorus) Who's afraid of little old me? The girl with the haunted melody? I used to write happy endings, now the ink bleeds out in red Who's afraid of little old me? The one they thought they could leave for dead? They underestimated the storm, beneath the fragile thread

(Verse 2) They built their kingdoms on sand, with whispers in the hall Thought I wouldn't hear the cracks, before it all came down to fall But whispers turn to battle cries, the truth a loaded gun The damsel in the dress, learned how to outrun the setting sun

(Chorus) Who's afraid of little old me? The girl with the haunted melody? I used to write happy endings, now the ink bleeds out in red Who's afraid of little old me? The one they thought they could leave for dead? They underestimated the storm, beneath the fragile thread

(Bridge) This crown of thorns I wear, it's made of lessons learned The scars that paint my skin, a fire that's fiercely burned I'm no longer afraid of the dark, I dance with all the ghosts They whisper tales of battles won, at the very, very most

(Chorus) Who's afraid of little old me? The girl with the haunted melody? I used to write happy endings, now the ink bleeds out in red Who's afraid of little old me? The one they thought they could leave for dead? They underestimated the storm, beneath the fragile thread

(Outro) No, they underestimated me The fire in my eyes, wild and free Who's afraid of little old me? Not a single soul, you'll see

I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can):

(Verse 1) Red wine breath and late night calls Same sad song on your bedroom walls Empty promises whispered low But this time, baby, I don't know

(Pre-Chorus) Used to wear his chaos like a crown Thought my love could turn it all around Blinded by the spark, the way it burned Now I'm the one getting slightly concerned

(Chorus) 'Cause I can fix him, that's what they all said A little patience, a love like mine ahead But what if all the fixing breaks me in the end? This "I can fix him" charade, my only pretend

(Verse 2) Late nights turn to lonely weeks The hero I saw, just out of reach My fragile heart, a battleground Love shouldn't feel this way, I've finally found

(Pre-Chorus) Maybe I should take a step back, rewind This projection of a future I can't define Is this the love story I deserve? Or just another chapter left to observe?

(Chorus) 'Cause I can fix him, that's what they all said A little patience, a love like mine ahead But what if all the fixing breaks me in the end? This "I can fix him" charade, my only pretend

(Bridge) Maybe Mr. Right won't need a complete overhaul Maybe love should be easy, a comforting shawl Not a constant project, a work in progress plea Maybe that's the love song waiting for me

(Chorus) 'Cause I can't fix him, and I'm finally seeing clear No amount of love can erase all his fear I won't be his savior, that's not what I'm here for This "I can fix him" fantasy, I slam the door

(Outro) My love is enough, for myself this time No more wasted heartbeats, a love that's all mine I'll find a love that's built to last No fixing needed, a beautiful past

Loml:

(Verse 1) Daffodils peek through the window pane Sunlight paints your face in a golden frame We used to laugh, whisper secrets in the breeze Now just the silence hums a melody of unease

(Pre-Chorus) Was it all pretend? The way you held my hand? Forever promised, written in the sand Did the tide come in and wash it all away? Leaving just the question, "Will I see you someday?"

(Chorus) They say you only miss the sun when it starts to fade But darling, you were more than sunshine, a whole parade Of color, laughter, everything that felt complete Now I'm searching for your echo on this empty street Wondering if you're the love of my life, lost in the fight Or if I dodged a heartbreak in the fading light

(Verse 2) Your favorite sweater hangs limp in the hall A ghost of your presence, clinging to the wall Memories flicker like fireflies in the night A bittersweet symphony, a love that wasn't right

(Pre-Chorus) Maybe fairytales were never meant for us Tangled in reality, a love that turned to dust Did we rush the ending? Skip to the last page? Left with open chapters on a love-stained stage

(Bridge) Maybe someday the pieces will fall in place The tears will dry, leaving a smile on my face But for now, the question hangs heavy in the air Did we write a love story, or a heartbreak prayer?

(Chorus) They say you only miss the sun when it starts to fade But darling, you were more than sunshine, a whole parade Of color, laughter, everything that felt complete Now I'm searching for your echo on this empty street Wondering if you're the love of my life, lost in the fight Or if I dodged a heartbreak in the fading light

(Outro) Love of my life, or a lesson learned in time The answer whispers on the wind, a haunting rhyme

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart:

(Verse 1) Raindrops on the window pane, mirror what's inside Staring at a stranger, where'd the happy girl hide? You said forever, but forever's just a word Left unspoken on my lips, a melody unheard

(Pre-Chorus) Thought I couldn't live without you, a tethered satellite But the Earth keeps spinning, even in the dead of night

(Chorus) So I pick up the pieces, mend the tattered seams This heartache might cripple some, but it won't crush my dreams I can chase the sunrise, write my own fairy tale 'Cause I can do it with a broken heart, weather any gale

(Verse 2) Empty coffee cups and tear-stained photographs Memories on repeat, like a record that scratches Your ghost in every corner, a haunting melody But the silence is a canvas, waiting for my symphony

(Pre-Chorus) Used to think I needed you, the air that filled my lungs But I can take a deeper breath, now that you're unsung

(Chorus) So I pick up the pieces, mend the tattered seams This heartache might cripple some, but it won't crush my dreams I can chase the sunrise, write my own fairy tale 'Cause I can do it with a broken heart, weather any gale

(Bridge) Maybe someday the scars will fade, a testament to strength A reminder of the battles fought, the miles I walked at length For now, they throb with a dull ache, a badge of honor worn A symbol of the fire that burns, brighter than ever before

(Chorus) So I pick up the pieces, mend the tattered seams This heartache might cripple some, but it won't crush my dreams I can chase the sunrise, write my own fairy tale 'Cause I can do it with a broken heart, weather any gale

(Outro) Weather any gale, yeah, I can do it with a broken heart Pick myself up, tear myself apart, a brand new start With a broken heart, yeah, I can do it with a broken heart

The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived:

(Verse 1) Remember giant sequoias, how they scraped the sky? We used to whisper secrets beneath their watchful eye You were just a sapling then, barely kissed the sun But somehow, in your shadow, I felt the smaller one

(Pre-Chorus) Maybe it was the way you held your head so high Or the way you spoke of dreams, a mile beyond the sky I built you up a pedestal, a statue in the hall But pedestals are lonely, and giants sometimes fall

(Chorus) The smallest man who ever lived, that's what you turned out to be A shrunken soul, a hollow heart, beneath the chivalry You promised me forever, then held me on a string The smallest man who ever lived, and the giant love I couldn't cling

(Verse 2) We danced on mountain peaks, our laughter filled the air I thought your love was wildfire, a flame beyond compare But wildfires turn to ashes, and ashes drift away Leaving only hollow whispers of a love that wouldn't stay

(Pre-Chorus) Maybe it was the way you shrunk from every fight Or the empty promises whispered in the fading light I held you close and nurtured you, a fragile, wilting rose But fragile things have thorns, darling, and love can decompose

(Chorus) The smallest man who ever lived, that's what you turned out to be A shrunken soul, a hollow heart, beneath the chivalry You promised me forever, then held me on a string The smallest man who ever lived, and the giant love I couldn't cling

(Bridge) Now I see you for what you are, a flicker in the night A man who built a kingdom, on a foundation built of fright My love was a cathedral, but you couldn't fill the space The smallest man who ever lived, a soul I can't embrace

(Chorus) The smallest man who ever lived, that's what you turned out to be A shrunken soul, a hollow heart, beneath the chivalry You promised me forever, then held me on a string The smallest man who ever lived, and the giant love I couldn't cling

(Outro) But I won't let you shrink my spirit, I'll rise above the fray The giant love I had for you, will find a brighter day The smallest man who ever lived, won't dim my future's light I'll soar above the ashes, and learn to love with all my might

The Alchemy:

(Verse 1) In the dusty corners of a tortured poet's mind Where shattered sonnets whisper on the wind I find Remnants of a love that once burned oh so bright Now just ashes clinging to the fading light

(Pre-Chorus) We used to chase the sunrise, hand in hand and free Dipped our pens in moonlight, wrote a symphony Of stolen moments, promises whispered in the dark Now the ink has bled and stained us with its mark

(Chorus) Oh, the alchemy of heartbreak, it turns a lover cold Takes the purest gold and molds it into something old A tapestry of teardrops, woven threads of doubt Love's magic potion spilled, leaving scars that won't wear out

(Verse 2) Your name, a whisper on my lips, a melody gone wrong Haunted by the echoes of a love that didn't belong We were a paradox, a puzzle with no key Two souls entwined, destined to set each other free

(Pre-Chorus) But freedom tastes like bitter wine, leaves a sting on my tongue The silence screams your absence, a lullaby unsung Empty canvases stare back, mocking with their white Where once vibrant portraits bloomed, bathed in love's warm light

(Chorus) Oh, the alchemy of heartbreak, it turns a lover cold Takes the purest gold and molds it into something old A tapestry of teardrops, woven threads of doubt Love's magic potion spilled, leaving scars that won't wear out

(Bridge) But maybe in the wreckage, a phoenix will arise From the ashes of our ending, a new strength in my eyes I'll gather up the fragments, the shattered bits of me And forge a fiercer spirit, one that's finally free

(Chorus) Oh, the alchemy of heartbreak, it can break you down to dust But in its fiery furnace, a new me I can trust To rise above the teardrops, untangle threads of doubt Love's potion may have spilled, but my heart will find a way out

(Outro) Out of the ashes, I will rise, a warrior born anew The alchemy of heartbreak, it changed me, but it made me true

Clara Bow (it would only generate the chorus for some reason):

(Chorus) Flashbulbs pop, a million eyes, on flickering silver screen Clara Bow, a wildfire glow, the "It Girl" everyone has seen But mascara hides the weary sighs, a smile plastered on for show Is this the price for reaching highs? A life the tabloids know?

BONUS TRACKS:

The Manuscript:

(Verse 1) And so I enter into evidence My tarnished coat of arms My muses, acquired like bruises My talismans and charms

(Pre-Chorus) The tick, tick, tick of love bombs My veins of pitch black ink All's fair in love and poetry…

(Chorus) This is the manuscript, the story untold Scrawled in midnight whispers, secrets yet unfold Every tear a comma, every sigh a line A symphony of heartache, a love that's truly mine

(Verse 2) Blank pages stare back, a daunting expanse But with each stroke of the pen, a fiery romance I weave tales of longing, of passion and pain Inking my soul onto the parchment plane

(Bridge) They say a tortured heart writes the finest prose But the weight of the world, a heavy dose Is the price I pay for the words that I write? Is this the burden of the poet's plight?

(Chorus) This is the manuscript, the story untold Scrawled in midnight whispers, secrets yet unfold Every tear a comma, every sigh a line A symphony of heartache, a love that's truly mine

(Outro) Sincerely, The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department

The Bolter:

(Verse 1) Flashing bulbs, a crowded hall Diamonds on my dress, but I felt small Caught your eye across the room, a secret smile Suddenly the cameras lost their style

(Pre-Chorus) Hand in mine, a whispered plea "Get me out of here, just you and me" Heartbeats pounding, down the fire escape Laughter in the shadows, a desperate escape

(Chorus) You were the bolter, the one who took flight With me clinging on in the pale moonlight Didn't care where we were going, just anywhere but back Thought we'd rewrite the ending, escape on the right track

(Verse 2) Headlights blurring, city lights a blur Promises whispered, forever felt sure But forever has a way of slipping through your grasp Like grains of sand, held tight in a shattered glass

(Pre-Chorus) Empty road stretching, silence grew so loud The laughter faded, a disappearing cloud Maybe freedom tasted better in the chase Now we're facing the dawn, with a love out of place

(Chorus) You were the bolter, the one who took flight But the wings you borrowed couldn't hold us tight Didn't care where we were going, just anywhere but back Now the engine's sputtering, and the cracks start to crack

(Bridge) Did we run from the fire, only to land in the rain? Was the escape worth the lovers' pain? The city's calling, a siren's sweet song But will it bring us back together, where we don't belong?

(Chorus) You were the bolter, the one who took flight Left me here with the echoes in the fading night Didn't care where we were going, just anywhere but back Now we're picking up the pieces, on a broken down track

The Albatross:

(Verse 1) Six years on the open sea, adrift and out of sight We built a fragile nest of dreams, bathed in a borrowed light Your wings were clipped by circumstance, or maybe by my hand But still you soared above the waves, the fairest in the land

(Pre-Chorus) But albatross, they say, bring burdens on their wings A weight that hangs unseen, a guilt that freedom stings

(Chorus) Are you my albatross, or am I yours to bear? A constant reminder, a love that turned to despair We fly forever in this lonely loop, a haunting, endless song Will we find solace, or just keep circling all night long?

(Verse 2) The sailors sing a shanty, a tale of ancient lore Of a bird cursed for killing, forever doomed to soar Did we take a chance we shouldn't, a love that wasn't meant? Is this the price we pay for something heaven-sent?

(Pre-Chorus) 'Cause albatross, they say, bring burdens on their wings A weight that hangs unseen, a guilt that freedom stings

(Chorus) Are you my albatross, or am I yours to bear? A constant reminder, a love that turned to despair We fly forever in this lonely loop, a haunting, endless song Will we find solace, or just keep circling all night long?

(Bridge) Maybe the sailors got it wrong, maybe the legend's a lie Maybe the albatross is strong, a symbol reaching for the sky

(Chorus) Are you my albatross, or am I yours to bear? A constant reminder, a love that we both dare We fly forever in this vast unknown, a bittersweet song Maybe we'll find freedom, even if we fly all night long

The Black Dog:

(Verse 1) Woke up with a weight on my chest, a fog in my mind Sunlight streams in, but it feels like it's left me behind Old habits creep in, whispers in the dark The black dog's at my door, leaving its hungry mark

(Chorus) Claws dig in, teeth sink deep, a familiar despair It drags me down, a current too strong, a burden I can't bear The black dog, it haunts my steps, a shadow by my side But somewhere in the darkness, a tiny voice I try to find

(Verse 2) Laughter sounds hollow, smiles feel so thin The world keeps spinning, but I'm stuck within Empty promises echo, "You'll be alright they say" But the black dog knows the truth, it lingers every day

(Chorus) Claws dig in, teeth sink deep, a familiar despair It drags me down, a current too strong, a burden I can't bear The black dog, it haunts my steps, a shadow by my side But somewhere in the darkness, a tiny voice I try to find

(Bridge) Maybe a flicker of light, a distant memory's gleam A hand to hold, a whispered word, a fighting, hopeful dream The black dog may stay awhile, but I won't let it win There's strength beneath the surface, a fire burning within

(Chorus) Claws dig in, teeth sink deep, but I won't give in this time I'll fight the current, rise above, and leave the darkness behind The black dog may linger still, a shadow I can't deny But with every sunrise, I'll choose the light, and learn to fly

This took way to long since Bard was being stupid, so I hope you enjoyed!
