In average Hits 1 fashion, they let Dasha debut with Not At This Party, which got zero spins throughout the week. The last time I remember this happening is with Born With A Broken Heart, which at least made some sense, as it was being pushed that week. Putting all the confusion aside, the song is actually really good. Dasha sounds great, and the production is really great too. I'd like to see this do well, as long as they give it spins throughout the week.

ROLE MODEL debuts this week with Sally, When The Wine Runs Out, a song that only got a week and a half in Hit-Bound. I really enjoy this one. ROLE MODEL sounds good here, and I think he almost sounds like FINNEAS. The production is really great too, and the bridge is super fun. Let's hope this doesn't get replaced by a Shinedown song halfway through the weekend!

Benson Boone is back, likely with the lead single to his second album. It's called Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else, and I really enjoy it. Benson sounds great like always, and the production is great too. The instrumental is so catchy, and I like how it evolves at times. The ending also gives me vampire vibes from Olivia Rodrigo, which is a compliment. I hope this does great.

Lizzo is finally back, returning with Love In Real Life. Lizzo sounds as good as I remember her voice being, and the production is just so fun. I see a lot of hate for this song, saying it's boring and forgettable, but I really like it. It may be a bit forgettable, but for now, I really hope this does well.

Biggest Jump: Tate McRae - Sports car (+10) [#19 to #9]
Biggest Drop: The Weeknd/Playboi Carti - Timeless (-11) [#16 to #27]
Recommendation for Hits 1: Tyler, The Creator/Lola Young - Like Him

Hit-Bound
Ashley Cooke/Joe Jonas - All I Forgot (3)
Lady Gaga - Garden Of Eden (Debut)
almost monday - can't slow down (Re-entry, 12)
JENNIE/Dua Lipa - Handlebars (Debut)
JISOO - Your Love (4)
Alex Warren - Ordinary (5)
Doechii - Anxiety (Debut)
Emei - Crazy Stupid Love (2)
Alessi Rose - IKYK (8)
Ryann - DIRTY (Debut)
Cil - You're a Liar (You Love Me) (Debut)
Daniel Seavey - Lose Me Like You Mean It (Debut)
LISA - FXCK UP THE WORLD (Vixi Solo Version) (2)
Dove Cameron - Too Much (3)
Imogen Heap - Headlock (Debut)
Justice/Tame Impala - Neverender (5)

Lady Gaga just released her new album MAYHEM, and today we get a song off that album, Garden Of Eden, on Hit-Bound. I think this is the single, and I'm really glad for that. I prefer it over Disease, but I prefer Abracadabra and Die With A Smile over it. Lady Gaga sounds great here, and her backing vocals are especially great. The production is amazing too, and I really like the synth-pop instrumental. I have no doubt that this will smash.

can't slow down re-entered, presumably due to it currently being in the top 30 on Mediabase's CHR/Pop Chart. It's faded on me a bit, but I still really like it. I hope it explodes in time for summer, as this would be an amazing song to play then.

JENNIE released her new album Ruby this weekend, and the Dua Lipa collab called Handlebars debuts today. I enjoy this one. JENNIE and Dua sound great here, and the production is a bit slow, but I still enjoy it. I would've preferred like JENNIE over this, but I'm not unhappy with their decision.

Doechii has been having a great year so far, and Anxiety is yet another example of that. This song is actually from 2020, but it was remastered and released to streaming after it went viral. I'm so glad it got released, as I really love this song. Doechii sounds really great, and the Somebody That I Used To Know sample works amazingly here. I really hope this does great.

Well, now we've reached the random section of Hit-Bound. Starting with Ryann, we have DIRTY. This song literally has less than 6,000 streams on Spotify, so I have no idea how this debuted. However, this is a fun little song. Ryann sounds good, and the production is pretty fun. I like it, but I think I'll forget about it within a week.

Newcomer Cil brings her first song to Hit-Bound, titled You're a Liar (You Love Me). Cil's voice kind of reminds me of RAYE's voice, and that's definitely a good thing. Cil sounds really good, and instrumental is great too. I hope this does well, although I don't see it becoming a hit.

Why Don't We member Daniel Seavey brings his song Lose Me Like You Mean It to Hit-Bound, and I guess it's alright? His voice is a bit much for me, and the production is just alright. I prefer the Selena Gomez song with a pretty similar title.

Finally, we have a song that was released 20 years ago debuting. Better late than never I guess! It's by Imogen Heap, titled Headlock. I really enjoy this one. I love the 2000's style of production, and Imogen Heap sounds really good. It reminds me of Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) from 2022, except this time it went viral due to a game called Mouthwashing. I hope this does well, although I feel like its popularity may have already passed.

Dropouts:
Steve Aoki/Trippie Redd/Jessica Baio/KABU - Radio (1)
Halsey - safeword (1) [Countdown Extra]
JENNIE/Doechii - ExtraL (2)
Damiano David - Next Summer (1)

safeword is in the abyss, so hopefully it debuts. ExtraL and Next Summer deserved better, and good riddance to Radio.

Abyss
Halsey - safeword
Sabrina Carpenter - Busy Woman
Tyla - PUSH 2 START
Knox - Pick Your Poison
Hayes Warner - Oh!
Eminem/Jelly Roll - Somebody Save Me
Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER
Vella - All My Love
The Marías - No One Noticed
Pitbull/Bon Jovi - Now or Never
Crash Adams - Optimist

Notes:
  • We lost BIRDS OF A FEATHER, Busy Woman, Guilty, and squabble up this week. Guilty was highly forgettable, and BIRDS OF A FEATHER had a record-breaking run and will be missed. I will also miss Busy Woman and squabble up, but I think they'll be back soon.
  • So now we're just letting Mr. Predictable rot in the bottom spot on the countdown?
  • Why is Born Again doing so poorly?
  • Timeless and Cry For Me keep jumping huge then falling huge the next week. Just pick one Hits 1!
  • DENIAL IS A RIVER should've jumped more.
  • Both of Tate's songs jumped big this week! Super happy for her, and especially happy for Sports car making the top 10.
  • Glad to see Oscar Winning Tears. doing well! Avenge Escapism. please!
  • How is I Love You, I'm Sorry so high without a radio push? I'm not complaining, I'm just confused.
  • I'm ecstatic that Abracadabra seems to be doing amazing.
  • Pink Pony Club held on to the #1 spot, but it looks like That's So True will take it within the next few weeks. Even Abracadabra, Bed Chem, or Bad Dreams could possibly take it.
Well that was fun! I enjoy making these countdown posts when I actually enjoy the songs! That's it for me today, see you guys in the next post!
