Due to the season I associate this EP with, it is fittingly titled (HOT Album Review)

I reviewed LE SSERAFIM's last EP CRAZY, and when I saw they released a new EP titled HOT, I knew I needed to review. I didn't know what to expect going into this, so I was pleasantly surprised after listening to this. Let's get into it, starting with...

#1: Born Fire (2/5) [not counted]

Once again, one of their EPs start with a song that mainly consists of talking. This barely is even a song, and whoever is talking sounds very annoying. The production is pretty good, but there's nothing much that can save this "song" that is more of an intro. Maybe this would be better if I understood what they were saying, but I don't think it would. I'm not counting this for the score, as it would undeservingly tank the score, and it contains no real singing.

#2: HOT (5/5)

Moving on from that dumpster fire, we have a song that is one hundred times better. All the members sound great here, and the production is really catchy. It gives me really strong summer vibes, and I hope that they would push this song for the summer just for that reason. I do wish this was a bit longer though.

#3: Come Over (5/5)

Once again, we have a song that gives major summer vibes. The girls sound really good here, and the production may be even better than the last one. I like how the production changes over the song, it helps the song make more sense because I can't understand Korean. We've had two really good songs in a row, and let's see if that streak is broken with...

#4: Ash (5/5)

Looks like the streak is intact! This whole album feels like a summer album, which makes no sense as they released this in the middle of March. I'm not complaining, as I really like songs that feel like this. All the group members sound good here, and their flow is really great. The production is really good here again, and this is yet another great song.

#5: So Cynical (Badum) (4/5)

This song completes the entire album being really good, but this is definitely my least favorite besides Born Fire. The production is a bit annoying, and the girls don't sound as good here. The badums repeating in the background get annoying really quickly, and that brings down the song a point for me. Overall, it's still a good song, but it cannot compare to the other songs.

Overall, this was a really good songs. The beginning and end weren't that great, but the middle three songs were amazing. If they replaced the first and last songs, this EP could've been perfect. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the next post!
