My wish is for this EP to be great! (winter wishes Album Review)

I've known about Lyn Lapid for a while now due to her having a couple popular songs. I discovered her Christmas EP winter wishes one day, so I decided I'd review it today. I didn't really know what to expect, because I don't listen to her music that often, but I was definitely surprised.

#1: old fashioned christmas (5/5)
This one is the song I stumbled upon a Christmas playlist, and I really enjoy it. The production is really good, and Lyn's voice is very unique, but that doesn't change much for me. I believe this song is the single off the EP, so I hope it at least gets some playlisting.

#2: blame it on the snow (5/5)
This is yet another good song. I love the concept of blaming the snow or the cold for all your regrets, and I definitely think Lyn pulls it off well here. The production is really great, and I love all the small details in it. Her voice is also amazing again, and her distinctive artistry really shines here.

#3: christmas you deserve (5/5)
This song is packed full of references of other holiday songs, but they're posed as insults directed at Lyn's ex. The lyrics here are genius, and I enjoy the production. Her voice sounds great again, and I really love the melodies in this one. Yet another great song!

#4: nightingale
I believe this song is about Lyn trying to get over her ex, but mourning the loss of her love. It's definitely a different concept for a holiday song, but I like it. Her voice sounds awesome once again, and the production is very enjoyable too. The lyricism here is amazing, and I think it's another amazing song.

Overall Score: 20/20 (100%) - Perfect
Favorite Songs: old fashioned christmas, christmas you deserve
Least Favorite Songs: none

My wish was granted, and I'm pleasantly shocked. I didn't have high expectations coming in, but she defied the expectations I had set in my head. I will most likely be coming back to this EP in the future. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in my next post!
