So why'd Love Somebody leave for one week?

Did we really get Akon's Beautiful Day over That's So True? This song is so boring, and Akon sounds terrible. That's So True is literally blowing up everywhere, and they pick this boring song. Peak Hits 1 logic.

Hit-Bound
Halsey - Panic Attack (4)
Lil Nas X - LIGHT AGAIN! (Debut)
almost monday - can't slow down (3)
Tate McRae - 2 hands (Debut)
The Kid LAROI/Quavo - Slow It Down (Debut)
Henry Moodie - good old days (8)
Meg Donnelly - in my bag (Debut)
Nessa Barrett/Artemas - MUSTANG BABY (Debut)
Balu Brigada - So Cold (8)
Shaboozey - Good News (Debut)
Griff - last night's mascara (2)
Myles Smith - Wait For You (12)
Dasha - Heartbreaker from Tennessee (Debut)
The Marias - No One Noticed (Debut)
Jessie Murph - Sip (3)
Jonah Marais/Ryan Lewis - Slow Motion (Debut)

Lil Nas X dropped LIGHT AGAIN! this week with no playlisting, and little to no promotion. He's also planning to drop next week, which probably means this will flop. Anyways, the production on this one is great, and Lil Nas X sounds good too. I hope this will do something, but it's not looking likely.

Tate McRae dropped the follow up to It's ok I'm ok called 2 hands, and it might actually be an improvement. Tate sounds good, and the production is amazing. I hope this does well.

We've had two songs named Slow It Down this year, one from Benson Boone, and the one in Hit-Bound today from The Kid LAROI and Quavo. I honestly prefer this one over the older one. Both LAROI and Quavo sound good, and the production is amazing just like every other song he puts out.

Newcomer Meg Donnelly debuts with her new song, in my bag. The production is good, and Meg doesn't sound awful, but is very forgettable.

Nessa Barrett and Artemas collab for absolutely no reason at all of MUSTANG BABY. Both Nessa and Artemas sound awful, and the production is okay at best. I really hope this doesn't do anything.

Shaboozey is back with another single, Good News. Shaboozey sounds great like always, and the production is good in the second half. I just wish this song was a bit faster in the beginning, but it's still a great song.

So now we're picking up on every Dasha song? Heartbreaker From Tennessee is pretty good. Dasha sounds good, and the production is great. I wouldn't mind this becoming a hit.

The Marias finally debut with their song No One Noticed. This one has been going viral for a couple weeks, and for good reason. The Marias sound different from everyone else, but i really like it. The production is also great. This managed to sneak into the CHR/Pop weekly charts earlier this week, so I hope this does well on Hits 1 too.

We finally made it through our debuts, and we're ending with a collab between Why Don't We member Jonah Marais and the same guy who made Thrift Shop and Can't Hold Us, Ryan Lewis. This song is actually really good. Jonah sounds great, and Ryan's production is great too. I hope they can find some success.

Dropouts:
Lawrence - Whatcha Want (9)
Gracie Abrams - That's So True (4)
Myles Smith - Nice To Meet You (1)
Dasha - Bye Bye Bye (9)
Hayes Warner - ZIP (5)
Jason Derulo/Jawsh 685 - Make Me Happy (3)

That's So True and Make Me Happy find themselves in the abyss, and I hope only the first one debuts. Bye Bye Bye will be missed, and I really couldn't care less about the others.

Abyss
Gracie Abrams - That's So True
Jason Derulo/Jawsh 685 - Make Me Happy
Katy Perry/Doechii - I'M HIS, HE'S MINE
Morgan Wallen - Love Somebody
Linkin Park - The Emptiness Machine
Charli xcx/Ariana Grande - Sympathy is a knife
Billie Eilish - WILDFLOWER
Kylie Minogue - Lights Camera Action
Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club
Sabrina Carpenter - Bed Chem
Gracie Abrams - I Love You, I'm Sorry
Chappell Roan - Femininomenon

Notes:
- We lost I'M HIS, HE'S MINE and WE PRAY this week. Katy flopped again, and WE PRAY did good for what it was.
- I've really been enjoying Sailor Song recently, so I have no idea why it dropped.
- Glad to see Burning Down doing well off its debut.
- Looks like I'm ok It's ok and Lonely Road might be done.
- The entire run of Criminals confused me.
- I really hope APT. keeps climbing.
- Why did So High School pause at #16, it should've made it further!
- Glad to see Disease doing good!
- Why did Forever Young jump FIFTEEN spots? It barely even had any plays?
- Carry You Home is starting to get boring.
- One more week for I Can Do It With A Broken Heart to get into the 30 weeks club!
- So Die With A Smile didn't jump to #1? Weird.
- Taste returns to #1, which makes sense, but I'm starting to get sick of it. I don't know if it's the oversaturation of Sabrina, but it's just a bit boring now.

That's it! See you guys in the next post!
