Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

So yeah, that direct was REALLY good. Not nearly as good as last year's summer direct, but that's mainly because Metroid Prime 4: Beyond isn't really my thing. This direct blew so many expectations out of the water, and it was quite a way to "end" the Switch era. Notably however, we are missing one thing that I thought was practically confirmed; Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Paris 2024. Now, it could be released after the games, but it would make more sense to release it before.

Let's talk about the games now. Mario & Luigi: Brothership looks super interesting, and the art style is incredibly unique. Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition actually looks pretty fun now, Basketball for Switch Sports seems pretty fun, and MIO: Memories In Orbit has an amazing art style. I'm super hyped Hello Kitty Island Adventure isn't locked behind Apple Arcade anymore, and Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports seems super fun.

Onto the next segment with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, which seems fun enough, but I wasn't that interested in Tropical Freeze, so I don't know if I'll pick that one up. Dragon Quest fans are eating good today with Dragon Quest I-III all getting HD-2D remakes. Too bad I'm not a Dragon Quest fan. Funko Fusion seems cool, and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD seems fun, but it's in the same boat as Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, where I didn't enjoy the most recent game.

Nothing else before Super Mario Party Jamboree is that interesting, so onto that. This seems like the best Mario Party yet, with all the boards and minigames. I really, really hope that it has Pro Controller compatibility, like Superstars, instead of Super Mario Party. That leads us into The Legend of Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom, which is probably the first Zelda game that I've ever been excited for. Both those games are coming out relatively soon, which is super exciting.

Just Dance 2025 Edition and LEGO Horizon Adventures look fun, but I don't see myself picking them up. Stray seems like a really enjoyable game, except the fact Nintendo is 2 years late to having the game, and it will probably run even worse than Scarlet and Violet. That leads us in to the "One last thing...", which happened to be Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the game that was revealed 7 years ago. It doesn't personally appeal to me, but to all the Metroid fans, I'm happy for you.

Now, let's see how I did on my predictions:
9/25 (36%) spaces marked, 0 bingos
All things considered, I think I did pretty well. Some of these were more wishes than predictions, so most of the logical things came true. And with that, this post is over! Cya guys in the next one!
