Looking forward to the 2028 LA Olympics

With the Paris 2024 Olympics being officially over, it's time to look forward to the next Summer Olympics, Los Angeles 2028. We know most of the new or returning sports, and the ones leaving. Before we get started though, I have to give you a quick lesson. There are 2 different types of events in the Olympics, permanent and optional. Permanent sports are sports like Swimming and Gymnastics that are in every single Summer Olympics. Optional sports are events like the brand-new Breaking that are usually included to try and gain some recognition in the Games, or to honor the hosting city.

LEAVING:
Breaking will be removed after making it's Olympic debut this year in Paris. Boxing has also not been officially confirmed to be returning to the Games after struggling to find a hosting body after the International Boxing Association faced corruption accusations.

NEW:
Two new sports will be added to the 2028 Games, being Flag Football and Squash. Flag Football will be played in Men's and Women's divisions, and will be played as a 5 on 5 on a 50 yard field.
You may be wondering what Squash is, and according to Google AI, Squash is "a racket sport played in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball and racket. The objective is to hit the ball against the walls in a way that makes it difficult for your opponent to return it. The game can be played with two players in singles or four players in doubles. Squash is similar to racquetball."
There is also articles floating around saying that Ninja (aka obstacle course racing) will replace Equestrian in the Modern Pentathlon.

RETURNING:
Baseball and Softball will be returning after a short hiatus, not appearing in the Paris Games. Interestingly, Softball will be played in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Two sports will be returning after over 100 years as well, those being Lacrosse and Cricket. These sports will have been gone for 120 and 128 years respectively. Lacrosse will be played in a 6 on 6 tournament, and no information has been released on Cricket.

PERMANENT ADDITIONS:
Skateboarding, Sport Climbing and Surfing will all move from optional to permanent events.
