What is the format this season?
The format is nearly identical to last season's. It will consist of Groups A, B, and C, with the first group starting with five costumes and the other groups starting with four. Each group will get one wildcard costume added, so the season will, once again, have three wildcards total. Like season 10, the judges will have one opportunity to use the Ding Dong Keep It On bell to save one contestant, who will move to the quarterfinals with the group A, B, and C finalists, for a total of four quarterfinalist contestants. From there, three will compete in the semifinals and two will move on to the finale.
What are the all-new theme nights on The Masked Singer season 11?
Season 11 will introduce all-new themed episodes, including “Wizard of Oz,” in celebration of the 85th anniversary of the classic film, “Transformers,” as the iconic toy brand celebrates its 40th anniversary, and special musical anthology episodes including “Billy Joel Night” and “Queen Night.” Additional themes include “Girl Groups,” “Soundtrack of My Life,” “TV Theme Night,” and “Shower Anthems.” As has been the case in past seasons, the themes will be weaved throughout the performers’ song selections, costumes, celebrity guests, set design… and may even provide clues as to who is under the mask.
What are the season 11 costumes?
As mentioned above, 16 masked celebrities are battling it out this season, three of which will be wildcard contestants. The costumes revealed so far include Cleocatra, Gumball, Lizard, Ugly Sweater, Goldfish, Starfish, Book, and Lovebird. And although their official names haven't been revealed, early teasers for the season also teased a mustache, a pair of beets, a clock, a seal, and a silkmoth.
What are the clues for the new crop of masked celebrities?
The season 11 contestants boast a combined 22 Grammy nominations, 11 platinum albums, 33 Teen Choice nominations, 108 million records sold, 1.7 billion Spotify streams, and 326 film appearances. But that's all we know about them... for now.
